Inspection Training
This course is designed to instruct students in inspection techniques and use of Co-ordinate Measuring Equipment. Machine set up and operation, inspection records and record keeping requirements are covered in the program. Instruction time is divided equally between classroom, and shop, providing an unusual blend of practical theory and hands-on experience. Upon graduation, students qualify for intermediate-level positions in the machining industry.
Course Length
Classes are held twice a week, 4 1/2 hours a day for 16 weeks totaling 144 hours, or once a week, 8 hours a day, for 18 weeks totaling 144 hours.
Prerequisites
Prospective students must have basic knowledge of shop mathematics and blueprint reading and be able to read and write in English.
Instructors
All instructors are credentialed or are working toward a credential in Adult Vocational Education. The instructors bring to the classroom and shop many years of practical experience in the machining, tooling and manufacturing industry. Their extensive capabilities and varied backgrounds assure students of receiving the highest caliber instruction possible from the most qualified instructors.
